Founded in 1917 in Torino, Italy. The company later changed its name to BO-FIM ITALIA and filed a U.S. trademark in 1977 for the BOREADO brand name. BO-FIM changed ownership a few times before officially ending its pencil manufacturing operations with the closure of the Rivarolo Canavese plant in 2000.
