Nice larger hex Faber. Hard to say if it's actually graphite or blue colored pencil. I was told it's a thick core of graphite. Upon inspection I am getting a slight blue tint to the core. Sadly, I'm going to go with a thick blue core.
Johann Faber was one of three brothers who at one point worked for the Stein, Germany-based family business known as A.W. Faber Pencil Company in the second half of the 19th century. (Johann’s younger brother, Eberhard Faber, opened the first American pencil factory.) Johann left to start his own pencil business in Nuremberg in 1879. However, his company ended up merging with A.W. Faber during the global economic crisis of the late 1920s.
