About Karl Knobloch KG

The Karl Knobloch wood processing company was founded by brothers Karl and Ernst Knobloch in 1896. In the beginning they produced wooden tools including rakes, shovel handles, and ladders in the small town of Steinigtwolmsdorf. Some fifty years later, in 1949, they expanded into the production of graphite and colored pencils. The company shuttered its doors in 1990.
