June 2024: The 37th release in Blackwing’s Volumes series, the Blackwing 746 is a tribute to the San Francisco icon in its distinctive International Orange color – The Golden Gate Bridge.  Featuring firm graphite.

March 2024: The 36th release in Blackwing’s Volumes series, the Blackwing 710 is a tribute to Jerry Garcia and his fusion of visual and musical expression. A slice of his painting “Curves & Lines” is printed on each pencil, which features our soft graphite that is ideal for both drawing and songwriting.

Dec. 2023: The 35th release in Blackwing’s Volumes series, the Blackwing 2 acknowledges art’s role in bringing about change. Each pencil features a cracked glow-in-the-dark design that plays on the duality of art and the challenging realities that inspire it. Each pencil also includes our firmest graphite yet – a special 2X firm graphite formulated specially for this release.

DEC 2015 The 3rd release in Blackwing’s Volumes series, the Blackwing 1138 salutes A Trip to the Moon and all the things sci-fi. It features a silver imprint and black eraser, the soft graphite found in the Palomino Blackwing and the first silver ferrule on a Blackwing pencil.

SEPT. 2023: The 34th release in Blackwing’s Volumes series, the Blackwing 17 is a tribute to gardening.

JUN. 2023: The 33rd release in Blackwing’s Volumes series, the Blackwing 57 is a tribute to Jean-Michel Basquiat and his boundary-pushing art.

April 2023: The 32nd release in Blackwing’s Volumes series, the Blackwing 20 celebrates tabletop games and the cherished moments they can create.  Each pencil features a raised polyhedron design inspired by gaming dice and our firm graphite that is perfect for keeping track of hit points, or tallying a final score.

December 2022: The 31st release in Blackwing’s Volumes series, the Blackwing 192 is a tribute to Lennon and McCartney and the estimated 192 songs they wrote together.  The color prism design depicts the convergence of two powerful creative forces.  A different Lennon-McCartney lyric is foil stamped on each pencil, for a total of 12 different lyrics in the set.  Inside is the extra-firm graphite.  *As a special bonus for subscribers, Jai Guru Deva, Om is a 13th pencil found only in the subscribers box tube.
