Paramount seems to be a brand of pencils which later became associated with the Alvin Drafting LLC but then again Alvin website says relies on a network of global manufacturers. This one has Made in Germany marked on the reverse and it also appears to be the oldest model I have. Update: I found a tin that has Made in US Zone of Germany with Diamond Drawing pencils marked Made in Germany.
I call these “Quazi” brands because I’m not 100% certain which company actually made them. Sometimes the pencils are stamped with a stationery store or maybe even the name of someone famous. But my hunch is they were produced by another company. If you have more information about any of these vintage pencils I would love to know!
