The Jewel pretty much just stayed the same when the American Pencil Co. changed to the Venus Pen and Pencil Corp.
Founded in 1860 as the American Lead Pencil Co., the New Jersey-based manufacturer changed its name in 1956 to match their popular line of Venus pencils (which were first introduced in 1905).
