Made by Dai Nippon Pencil Co., LTD. circa 1929 for sister company: Bunundo Co., Ltd. manufactures and sells paper products and stationery such as study notebooks, general notebooks, doodle notebooks, memo paper, information-related paper, etc. For over 100 years since its founding in 1909 (Meiji 42) in Kanda Nishikicho, Tokyo, the company has continued to focus on the quality of its paper.
I call these “Quazi” brands because I’m not 100% certain which company actually made them. Sometimes the pencils are stamped with a stationery store or maybe even the name of someone famous. But my hunch is they were produced by another company. If you have more information about any of these vintage pencils I would love to know!
