Cupheag is an unincorporated Populated Place (historical) located in Stratford Town, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States and the name of a local Indian Tribe.
Founded in 1950 by Victor Wall and Michael Bzdick, both former employees of the Eberhard Faber Pencil Co. By the 1960's the company was known as the Connecticut Pen and Pencil Company., and it manufactured more than a million pencils a week. The company produced 60 different kinds of pencils. The East Side factory closed in the 1980's.
