A great pencil. First US Pencil Co. pencil I have out of Phila. Penna....the rest are New York. This pencil also sports a very cool US logo by overlapping a U with an S. All indications of an early US Pencil Co. pencil.
Founded in 1861, the U.S. Pencil Co. became Venus Pen and Pencil Corp. in 1956.
